Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

Here is my new favorite chocolate chip chia cookie recipe using Think, Eat, Live Sun Flour. (USE NUTRIYOGI FOR 10% OFF EVERY PURCHASE)

Note: these cookies don’t use any eggs making it perfect for anyone with allergies or sensitivities, but feel free to use 2 in place of the chia and the flax. 

Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 Tbsp ground flaxseeds

1 Tbsp chia seeds

1 cup Think Eat, Live Sunflour

1.5 cup gluten free oat flour

½ tsp baking powder (baking soda will turn the cookies green, totally cool with me but may look weird to your kiddos)

¾ tsp ground sea salt

½ cup (1 stick) grass fed butter, ghee, (or melted coconut oil for vegan option)

½ cup coconut palm sugar

½ tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup organic dark chocolate chips (or vegan chocolate chips)

½ cup chopped organic dried cherries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 1
Make your “eggs” by combining the ground chia and ground flax with approx 6 tablespoons of water in a small bowl, forming a runny gel. Set aside. 

Step 2
In small to medium bowl. Combine the flours with the baking powder and sea salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In mixer combine, coconut sugar with butter (coconut oil) and vanilla. Add the “egg mixture” followed by the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Finally, fold in the cherries and chocolate chips. 


Drop onto cookie sheet lined with unbleached parchment paper, silicone pad, or sprayed with cooking spray.

Bake 12-14 minutes. Store in airtight container or in freezer!

Makes about a dozen cookies.
