In an age where most of our meals are spent over the kitchen sink, in board rooms, or even our cars, we’ve forgotten that there’s a spiritual component to eating. Using all 5 senses, this meditation helps us bring mindfulness back to the table as we enjoy a healthy peaceful meal and witness firsthand the rejuvenating effects it has on the body.
Mindful eating= improved digestion too;) This exercise is especially meaningful if you’ve prepared the food yourself and you know where the ingredients came from.
Meditation Prep: Bring your plate to the table. Be sure there are no phones, laptops, tv or any other distractions nearby. You may want to light an unscented candle.
